Blue Red Bronze
The Blue Red Bronze has the same genotype as a Red Slate with the addition of one red gene: bronze-based with slate and red b+b+DdRr. In other words, they are a Bronze with one blue (slate) gene and one red gene. They are beautiful light reddish with pale blue edging on the feathers. Not a true breeding variety, they will produce 9 different genotypes. To limit the number of genotypes or colors produced, breed to a Standard Bronze or to a Bourbon Red. Those breedings will produce 4 different colors. The addition of Narragansett genes, called Blue Red Narragansett or Dilute Blue Red Bronze, will lighten the birds.
